Frequent questions

Our farm is not big, but we are very proud of it. Our family has lived there for 100 years and we are happy to continue our traditions, improving each year. For some time now, we have started labeling our wine and hosting visits, samplings and tastings. We are not a large winery, we are not a large company. But we are true Chiantigians and our wine is truly excellent, like our hospitality. You often ask us questions about where we are, who we are, how to get there. Some answers can be found below.
Our farm is located in Montefioralle, a locality near Greve in Chianti, in the province of Florence, about 40 minutes from the historic center of the city.
Our farm is easily reachable from several roads: from Grassina or Tavarnuzze, if coming from Florence, from the Autopalio highway, if coming from Siena, with the Sambuca or Bargino exit.
Our farm is among the Chianti hills, on a slight slope, therefore we advise our visitors to park their car in the village, in the EAST area of the village, and proceed with a nice walk until you reach us.
Podere Bucine houses a farmhouse, a barn, a cellar and some agricultural buildings. It has about 9 hectares of vineyards and olive trees, so it’s a small farm. We are a family farm, our wines and our oil are entirely produced with manual harvesting for generations.
We produce Chianti Classico (we have several vintages), Chianti Classico Riserva and L’Obbligatorio, a Tuscan white wine created in honor of Father Luciano.
Our experiences last from a minimum of 45 minutes to a maximum of 1h30, approximately. We are rather flexible with schedules, as regards the duration of the experiences. For organizational reasons, however, we prefer to respect the starting times of the experience, in order to be able to take care of our guests in the best possible way.
No, Podere Bucine is a farm, not an agritourism. Our family lives at Podere Bucine: it is possible for visitors to come and visit the vineyard, the olive grove, the cellar and taste our products (wine, oil, etc).
Podere Bucine is not a restaurant: however, we can combine some fresh local products with wine and oil tastings, such as fresh bread, taralli, bruschetta, various cold cuts and fresh cheese.
Evening tastings at Podere Bucine are held only in the summer months (June, July, August, September) and in a single time at 21:00.
Of course, it is possible to buy all our wines and our oil in our cellar or online, with shipments all over the world.
